One Family, One Fire,
A 116-Year Love Affair
From 1910 to today: seven generations of a kebab legend. It all began in 1910 with a small shop in Adana’s old vegetable market. For seven generations, the secrets of fire and meat have been handed down from parent to child, and we keep them alive with the same passion. The turning point in our story came in 1974, when Hasan Kolcuoğlu, of the fifth generation, invented the Metre Kebab: a kebab a full metre long, which earned its own chapter in Turkish culinary history. Through the vision of Tarkan Kolcuoğlu, of the sixth generation, this one-of-a-kind dish grew into a brand, travelled far beyond Adana and brought the legend of the Metre Kebab to the whole of Türkiye.
Today, as the seventh generation, we keep that century-old fire burning bright at Kolcuoğlu Florya. We blend the craft handed down by our grandfathers and our father with the energy of a modern kitchen, and now we lay those same generous, unforgettable tables for you. Yes. This is Kolcuoğlu’s own restaurant, not a franchise or another brand.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, we do. Our drinks menu includes rakı, wine, beer and cocktails.
How does the Kolcuoğlu Special Menu work?
The Special Menu is for a minimum of two people and costs ₺1,800 per person.
Is there a charge for valet parking?
No, our valet service is free. We also have our own car park.
Can I get a table with a sea view?
Yes. The restaurant sits right on the water, and thanks to our full-length panoramic windows and table layout, every table has a view of the sea.

Where are you, and how far is it from Yeşilköy and Ataköy?
You’ll find us at Basınköy, Çekmece İstanbul Cd. No:39, Bakırköy/İstanbul. We’re about 10 minutes from Yeşilköy and about 15 minutes from Ataköy and Bakırköy.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open every day from 11:00 until midnight.

No, we don’t have a children’s play area.
